“From Type A to Be” is a phrase that came to me as I reflected on the path I’d taken to reach a default state of happiness after a tough time in my life.
I’d hit a low point in mid-2015 and I realized that if I didn’t find a way to find a gift in all the pain I’d been through, it would have all been for naught. So in my very Type-A way, I set out to find that gift.
Who knew that the gift would be Being?
Being delivered the peace and joy I’d been seeking for years and I found that access to Being is available 24/7, regardless of what else was going on in my life or around me.
For me, Type A is about doing. My tools are “to do” lists, deadlines, plans and routines.
Being is about the present moment. My tools are journaling, meditation, reading certain types of books and doing things differently.
From Type A to Be isn’t a journey that’s taken me from one place to another. Rather, it’s a spectrum.
I’m Type A. And I’m Be.
Type A works.
Combined, I am complete.
